Foreign Investment and NRI Cell
India has the world’s second largest Diaspora next only to China, with a substantive presence in all the six continents. Non-Resident Indians (NRI) and People of Indian Origin (PIO) have transferred knowledge and expertise, added to India’s income through remittances and recently have mediated the massive entrepreneurial energy that has led to the rise of India’s Information Technology (IT) and IT Enabled Services (ITES) sectors.
A Foreign Investment & NRI Cell has been created for providing guidance and advisory services for attracting foreign investment to the State and addressing the problems faced by NRI’s/PIO’s relating to property, marital discord and law & order, etc. An Advisory Committee has been constituted at the apex level under the chairmanship of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Haryana to consider related matters and review action taken by the Cell from time to time.
